Independent Consultant/Contractor. See CV for contact information.
My name is Ole Morten Thorsø Amundsen, grew up in Porsgrunn and now live in Oslo. I’m an ambitious systems developer looking to work with ambitious and lean companies. I’ve been programming java and other languages for several years. In 2006 I worked on a .Net project with asp.net 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. The .Net framework really fascinated me. The coming of VS 2008, Linq, C#3 and .Net 3.5 looks really good. Still, my main focus and believe is with java and open source, specially Spring and Hibernate. I believe Ruby and the Rails framework will play a bigger part in the Norwegian IT industry as well. We’re still a bit behind the U.S on this, but I hope to join a project using this technology in the near future.
Currently, I work as an independent consultant in Oslo, Norway. I read lots of blogs, articles and books. I’m not too active as a blogger myself, yet, but I intend to write about what’s important to me in the software industry and provide solutions to problems I encounter.
As many others, I’m terrified of writing stupid stuff, but I’ll try my best suppressing it! A good blog should be easily read, short, concise and provide links or references. That way the reader should be able to make deep dives into subjects that catches your interest. This is the recipe I’ll follow and I promise to give it my best effort! Don’t hesitate to make contact, comment on my post or provide feedback. After all, feedback and short feedback cycles is what agile is all about.
